Nowadays, we hear more and more about ecology, i.e. how to act to harm nature as little as possible and help it as much as possible. For this reason , more and more consumers are looking for products that have a mark on the packaging proving that they are environmentally friendly.
This type of products includes the entire range of Stassen brand teas, which come from, among others: from plantations located at an altitude of 1,800 meters above sea level in the Idulgashinna estate watered by the northeast monsoon rains.
What does the term "organic farming" mean?
Organic farming is agriculture that uses environmentally friendly practices. What are the main goals of these practices? Completely refraining from causing damage to the environment and using activities that have a positive impact on it.
Environmentally friendly practices include:
- Resignation from the use of artificial fertilizers, prohibited plant protection products (industrial feed) and GMOs , i.e. genetically modified organisms.
- Practicing crop rotation, cover crops , mechanical tillage to reduce weeds, and natural pest control techniques.
- Using your own organic fertilizers.
What does the marking of organic products look like?
Euroleaf is an ecological label awarded by the European Commission to ecological products throughout the European Union. If you see this marking on the packaging, it means that the manufacturer, processor or importer of this product has received an organic certificate confirming compliance with mandatory community standards for organic food.
Products imported from outside the European Union may also be labeled with the Euroleaf. But! This is only possible if they were produced in accordance with EU organic production rules or rules that are equivalent to them.
The Euroleaf logo shows white stars of the European Union on a green background, arranged in the shape of a leaf. The message resulting from this logo is clear and clearly marked - it means connecting Europe with Nature.

Rules for using the Euroleaf mark
Stassen brand teas have been marked with the Euroleaf mark because they meet a number of requirements regarding organic food. Here are a few of them:
- The products consist of ingredients, at least 95% of which have been classified as organic according to EU criteria.
- The products come directly from the manufacturer or are sold in closed and secured packaging .
- No use of genetically modified organisms and products made from GMOs during tea production.
